Arts Council for Long Beach is featuring artists from our Artist Registry. For the month of July, we are celebrating our BIPOC artists and this week we are highlighting Joshua McCall.
Joshua McCall is a painter, graphic designer, clothing designer, but most importantly, a Long Beach Community leader. He feeds and clothes the homeless in his city of Long Beach while also providing seasonal toy drives and bi-monthly community check-ins. 25% of monthly profits from his clothing brand, Being Real is Quality (BRIQ) go directly to McCall’s nonprofit organization BRIQ Community which funds their local charity drives and events. You can come and support him and his nonprofit at the local downtown Long Beach farmer’s market selling his clothing brand or somewhere in the city providing community involved workshops throughout the year! All Joshua aspires to do in life is to create cathartic art, teaching others how to create, as well as providing opportunity and resources to people who are without in the world.
