Join our team as we conduct a short walking tour around Boyle Heights where we will discuss and celebrate the historical and cultural legacy of immigrant communities in our neighborhoods. Our team will also lead participants in the crafting of either a literary or visual piece of art that participants will have the option of submitting to Art Block Zine; Vol. 10: LA Time Capsule.

This workshop is free, and submission to our zine is free. Plus, if your work is selected for publication, you will also receive a free contributor’s copy of the zine!

Please note: Individuals MUST REGISTER for each workshop session at https://DSTLArts.org/creativeimpact.

Each session will have a distinct walking tour and reunion point. Registrants will receive an email the day before their session(s) confirming the reunion point.

Additionally, all workshop sessions will be conducted outdoors, and it is encouraged that registrants wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and sunscreen. We will provide all workshop materials necessary for completing the art activity.
