Unleash Your Creativity: Join the City of Long Beach Youth Art Contest!

The City of Long Beach, in partnership with the Arts Council for Long Beach, is thrilled to announce the launch of the City of Long Beach Youth Art Contest! This exciting initiative invites local youth artists in grades 1-8 to showcase their talents and creativity by creating an art piece that shares the beauty and essence of our vibrant city.

About the Contest: Art can tell stories and bring communities together. Through this contest, we encourage our youth to express their unique perspectives on Long Beach through 2D visual art or photography. Each City Council District will select two winners—one from grades 1-5 and one from grades 6-8—resulting in 18 awardees in total. Winning pieces will be celebrated with a monetary stipend and photographed professionally.  The images of the artworks will be displayed in the City of Long Beach Legislative offices, allowing the creativity of our young artists to shine and inspire our leaders!
