A new book club for readers who like their drinks with a twist of knowledge. The Wicked Wolf (2332 Pacific Ave., 90806; Wrigley neighborhood), recently crowned Best Cocktail Bar in Long Beach, is thrilled to run a monthly, first-of-its-kind book club that blends the joy of reading with the history of spirits and the art of cocktail/mocktail-making. Last Monday of the month—next up is Oct. 28 (Fawn Weaver’s book, Love & Whiskey), with a special rep visit by the Uncle Nearest brand of fine whiskey. Read the book and attend (or just come and listen and sample some drinks connected to the books each month).
