Isa Viches

Hi, I’m Isa Viches. Originally from Guatemala and now based in Long Beach, I’m a versatile artist specializing in digital media, traditional canvas techniques, and photography. Since moving here in 2019, I’ve combined acrylics, oils, digital elements, and photography to create a distinctive and dynamic body of work that brings a fresh perspective to the local art scene.

My inspiration stems from the beauty and complexity of everyday life, which I view as a living poem. This philosophy deeply influences my work, whether it’s through the vibrant textures of acrylics and oils, the precision of digital art, or the captured moments in my photography. My personal journey through therapy has also been a significant influence, providing me with profound insights into emotions and life lessons that shape my creative vision.

These experiences weave into my art, allowing me to explore and express the nuances of human experience through light, shadow, and texture. I invite viewers to engage with my work as a conversation between inner emotions and the external world, reflecting my belief that art is an active participant in the ongoing narrative of human existence.

Digital Art in Procreate. A vivid painting blending serene fields with bustling corporate scenes, capturing the delicate balance between nature and modern life. The juxtaposition of open landscapes and structured office spaces symbolizes the ongoing struggle to harmonize work and tranquility, reflecting the dual demands life imposes.

French Omelette With Mushrooms (2024)
Digital in Procreate. This piece embodies the freedom to embrace imperfection. Created with the permission to explore failure, it reflects the non-linear nature of creativity, revealing that sometimes beauty emerges from the willingness to make mistakes and let the flow of artistic expression guide the process.

El paseo (2021)
Digital art in Procreate. The challenge lies in discerning what's real from illusion, but what is reality? An ocean in the sky, flowing through time.

Mundane Life (2023)
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas. Inspired by the mundane routine of a laundromat, this painting explores the idea that what we see may not be all there is, hinting at hidden layers beneath the surface of everyday life.
