Dear Long Beach: Diary Films Commissioned by LBCMA, brings together four diverse emerging filmmakers to create a series of personal Super 8 diary/essay films focused on the city of Long Beach, CA. Through the intimate lens of Super 8 film (a small gauge film format created for amateur filmmakers) each film will offer a unique perspective on life in the city, exploring themes of identity, community, culture, and individual experiences. Following the completion of the project, a free public film screening will be held at PLACE LB, located in the Wrigley neighborhood of Long Beach, CA.
