SHIBARI Live Performance

We invite you to watch a performance by Kazami Ranki. One of the top Rope masters in the world. He focuses on his partner’s comfort, the strength of the ties, the unique patterns he is creating, and his unmatched ability to accentuate the beauty and essence in those he ties.

Kazami Ranki hails from Osaka Japan and is a world renowned Nawashi who developed his own style of tying over the last 35 years. He started teaching in 2000 and has taken his unique style to venues all over the world both as a performer and educator. Kazami identifies as a Bakushi, binding for the sake of SadoMasochistic play rather than for the aesthetics of the rope. His style is well suited for all body types with a focus on variability and sustainability within suspension.

TIME: Doors open at 6:00 pm. Pre-game performances start at 7pm

ART SHOW: Completed pieces will be available for viewing and buying. Artists that have participated in Figure Bound, and figure drawing sessions will be displaying their unique originals and they will be available for purchase.

DRINKS will be available for purchase.
SEATING: We have varied seating for more than 80 people. Casual seating.
LOCATION: This is a working art studio so get ready for a unique location. 1219 Cherry Ave., Long Beach CA. We are down the alley. Park on the streets. There is no 2 hour time limit at night. Do not park in the parking lots. They tow. We suggest you carpool or Uber if you can.
