Caratoes
Belgium-born Caratoes (born Cara To) is known for her varied line use, which she developed in her time in Hong Kong–where her parents are originally from. Aside from that feature, her works usually portray a monochromatic face (or faces) opposite a very colorful background. She brings her talent to Long Beach and paints using her trademark theme. The black and white profile of a woman has different weight lines on her forehead and there is a copy of her face floating off to the left. Her background is a deep and bold blue that accentuates the face. Following the subject are different series of patterns of varying sizes and colors.
