Natalie Lawler
Natalie weaves paths as a visual artist, technical art historian, and curator. Strongly rooted in interdisciplinary research, she is eager to generate accessible, collaborative dialogue between arts and sciences. Through painting, creative non-fiction writing, and heritage science examination, her hybrid art practice illuminates macro- and microscopic languages of color and artists’ pigments. Current projects include a series of illustrated zines focused on pigment history and social color symbolism, and an article researching the role of wellbeing initiatives in the museum and conservation sector.
