While utilizing the four seasons as a sub-structure, I explore a human connection to the earth and cyclical time. Viewing the seasons through a lens of domesticity directs my incorporation of craft materials such as sewing patterns, needlework instructions, glitter, wallpaper and wrapping paper. These domestic remnants are integrated into my mixed media collages like brush strokes or lines, while drawing on the history of making a home. My use of anatomical imagery refers to the life cycle of the human body and represents the body within the domain of home and nature.
