Kavalactones Band

Who are we?

Kavalactones is a trio of multi-instrumentalists from Long Beach featuring guitar, winds, percussion, and vocals. Our music is similar to Post Rock with Acid Jazz and Neo-Classical. The band was formed in 2018 from a group of musician friends who met through various freelance performing across SoCal. Two of our members are alumni from the Bob Cole Conservatory at Cal State Long Beach and have lived in Long Beach area for the past 8 years.

Mission Statement –

Our goal is take people on a journey with our music and transport them somewhere that only exists through sound. We strive to create emotional, aesthetic, and intellectual music especially through the use of a variety of textures and styles. Between the three members we play a multitude of instruments in our sets including; trumpet, guitar, flute, drums, saxophone, piano, clarinet, cello, trombone, accordion and more! This allows us to have a truly unique sound and approach to every song we write and play. We have played many bars and venues in the SoCal area and love contributing to the community that constantly helps us grow as musicians and as people.
