Rosie’s Dog Beach
Karena Massengill
Rosie’s Dog Beach Project was an open artist call conducted by the Arts Council for Long Beach. It originated out of the City Manager’s office and was installed in collaboration with Parks, Recreation and Marine. The public art installation is lively, playful, fun and made up of 19 separate powder-coated metal colored dog figures that symbolize the joy dogs have when allowed to roam free on a beach without a leash.
