The Arts Council for Long Beach is a proud partner on the Uptown Creative Corridor Challenge, a beautification effort led by Councilmember Rex Richardson’s office. The project is an initiative to beautify various sites in North Long Beach through art, sustainability and civic engagement. The first mural was started on Artesia Blvd. last Saturday by artist Guillermo Avalos, across from Jordan High School; local community and students are helping paint this huge mural. The murals are scheduled to complete by July.
