“TWO OF US,” a new exhibit of Loiter Galleries’ founders Monica Fleming and Vinny Picardi, will open at their gallery in Long Beach on October 21st from 6-9pm. It’s the duo’s first joint exhibit since 2018.

Although they enjoy total synchronicity running their gallery, Monica and Vinny work in completely different mediums. For this showing they have chosen the common theme “nature” to unite their unique worlds, one of acrylic paintings and the other, photography.

They first met while exhibited at the Brewery Art Walk in 2014 in L.A. Here they found they shared a common vision for a different type of art space. One that was artist-owned and affordable to artists who were underserved. Their dream was realized when they opened Loiter Galleries in 2018 – a non profit gallery, artist owned, that supports local artists, just as they’d envisioned. Their first exhibit was one that featured their own work.

This new show includes new works and closes on November 18, 2023.
