Adelitas Revenge and Viento Y Agua Coffeehouse presents LAS ADELITAS HERstory, an exhibition curated by Rebecca Contreras. ‘Las Adelitas HERstory’ is an exploration of a theme that invites the artists to create life and rebirth, transform and translate what an Adelitas spirit went through in life and in spirit to continue to serve us with hope, courage and strength today.

In contrast, ‘Las Adelitas HERstory’ invites you to this narrative to embrace the beauty that can be found in being: Mujer, a soldier, being ‘Fuerte/Strong’ as a Mujer, Mexican &/or Latino culture, and even facing the darker aspects of healing and finding balance of being a soldier and continuing through life and death. In the spirit of Las Adelitas, we want to honor the bravery, challenges and experiences that have forever made a difference by showcasing HERstory in this month-long art exhibit.

Opening Reception: March 9th 5 pm – 9pm

Opening reception will include vendors and live poetry and music.
