On Saturday, March 17, 2018, the Arts Council opened Meditations, the inaugural Artist Registry exhibition at The Collaborative. It was a great success with over 150 attendees. The gallery was bursting with excitement because so many of our artists and supporters came together to celebrate the talent we have in our great city. The Community Arts Project Committee members, Marco Schindelmann, Kamran Assadi, Terry Braunstein, and Sayon Sypraseouth, worked hard this past year to re-imagine the space.

We would like to express a special thank you to Brian Trimble, co-chair of the committee, for curating this first show. Thank you to Betsy Lohrer Hall, Brittany Ransom, Meeson Pae Yang, Gail Werner, Dave Williams and his Rhythm Agents.

The night would not have been possible without the support of the City of Long Beach, Lyon Management, 421 Gallery, Long Beach Home+Living, Kahlo Design and The Stache Bar.

The Collaborative is located at 421 W. Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802.
