Phantom Galleries LA transformed vacant storefronts throughout Downtown Long Beach into 24/7 temporary public art galleries. More than 150 art exhibits were installed in more than 25 different storefronts throughout the Downtown area. A series of gallery openings were held for the various exhibits. Each installation represented a unique relationship between the participating artist, curator, property owner and the community. Local arts organizations, galleries, independent curators and artists curated the exhibits.
