HEAL’s Beading & Talking Circle Workshops

HEAL’s Beading & Talking Circle Workshops is a Native-led, free four-part series, featuring a talking circle and art/beading activity for this May is Mental Health Month 2022.

Participants will learn how to bead and finish a basic, beaded rope necklace, while focusing on the cultural and healing aspects of Native beadwork (mindfulness, grounding).

Attendees will also gather in a talking circle to support wellness, with a focus on the four aspects of health utilizing the medicine wheel.

Those interested are REQUIRED to fill out this Interest Form; after screened and confirmed availability for all four workshop dates, workshop participants will be contacted with session info. We will collect information of those interested, and be in contact regarding space and fit. The series will be limited to 10 participants.

Criteria to participate:

– Be an adult (18 years old and above)

– Be an LA County resident

– Be available to attend all four sessions

– Priority will be given to Black, Native/Indigenous, People of Color

Dates: Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8 pm: 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25
