Virtual, interactive panel discussion engaging artists, curators, and a trauma specialist in discussion about the creation, sharing, and utilization of art to enhance our mental health and wellness. The panel will be facilitated by Tiombe Wallace, MS, MFT, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 23 years of experience as a Black intersectional feminist therapist, educator, and activist. Artists on the panel include Nica Aquino, Jason Jenn, Rosalyn Myles and Vojislav Radovanović, whose work is currently on view in Sanctuary of the Aftermath at Angels Gate Cultural Center. The discussion will be an exploration of our path through the overlapping mental health impacts of pandemic losses, racial trauma, and other stressors in the last year. An opt-in, healing self-reflection/community care time will be offered. Participants will be invited to create during a brief art expression. Attendees can utilize any simple art supplies available at home for this online event.
