Playwright, producer and founder of GLOBO Productions, Dr. Gloria Morrow is pleased to announce the 2nd run of her popular stage play “Detours” set to take place Friday, December 6th and Saturday December 7, 2019 at Cabrillo Theater in Long Beach. The 540-seat theater featuring state of the art equipment is a hidden jewel nestled in a quiet residential area located on the Westside of Long Beach. Cabrillo Theater made its introduction into the entertainment industry in 2008 after being selected as the primary taping location for the Fox hit show “Glee”. The show lasted six seasons and ended in 2015.

Written & produced by Dr. Gloria Morrow “Detours” directed by the award winning Zadia Ife, boasts an all-star cast of performers including: Rhonda Morman, Danny De Lloyd, Swisyzinna, Tameka Bob, Faith Malonte, Nick Sarando, Trina Jeffrie (aka Sis. Cantaloupe), Jazzy Jade, and Vernice Price. Steven Wayne of Siblatha Music is the Musical Director, and musical guests, Marian Marie and Crystal Drummer will contribute to the play by using their musical gifts. Stephanie Butler Adams, the Executive Director of The Long Beach Unity Festival and the Founding Director of Spirit of Praise Sacred Artistry International and her team will play an important role in “Detours.”

Theater goers be prepared to laugh, cry as they will find themselves relating to this family’s dysfunction, due to the DETOURS each family member has taken. As the story unfolds, those in attendance will walk away feeling hopeful and uplifted because DETOURS can lead to beautiful destiny’s!
