Considering Matthew Shepard

Long Beach Camerata Singers’ new all-professional ensemble, The Catalyst Chamber Ensemble, will perform “Considering Matthew Shepard” on Sunday, November 13, 2022. This powerful Grammy-nominated contemporary oratorio is full of a wide variety of music from Country Western, to New Orleans Jazz, to Classical chorales.

Catalyst is led by Dr. James K. Bass, Artistic Director of the Long Beach Camerata Singers and 2021 Grammy Winner for Best Choral Performance. The group of 24 singers will perform the work in the Beverly O’Neill Theater beginning at 4:30pm.

A pre-concert talk will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Mack of the Matthew Shepard Foundation at 3:30pm.
