Metro Art releases their new Portrait Series: More People Than You Know, celebrating the people and neighborhoods along the Blue Line. Artists were contacted through the Long Beach Arts Council’s artist registry for these intimate, tender, and culturally relevant works, highlighting the stations’ surrounding communities.

This series features the artwork of many Long Beach artists, and interactive information screens and limited edition TAP cards will soon include images from artists Kristina AmbrizJazmine AtienzaDaniel BarajasCat FerrazAlepsis Hernandez, Bodeck Hernandez, and Cody Lusby. Also included will be works from current artist fellow Eric Almanza, as well as past fellows Jose M. LozaAngela Willcocks, and Dave van Patten.

These figurative pieces will be debuted upon the re-opening the A Line as part of the Metro’s “New Blue” line renovations.
