Kali Veach

Kali Veach is a director originally from the Ozarks of Missouri. They completed their MFA at the University of California, Riverside where they were a chancellor’s distinguished fellow in screenwriting. Their directing work has been supported with grants and appointments by the Max H. Gluck Foundation, UC Riverside’s School of Arts and Humanities, The Long Beach Shakespeare Company, and others. They are drawn to work that explores interpersonal relationships, mental health, sexuality, obsession, the bonds and limits of intimacy, and the varying ways human beings perceive and move through time.

They are developing The Show-Me State, a dark dramedy set in rural Missouri based on their experiences navigating identity and relationships in the aftermath of their brother’s onset of schizophrenia.
