The Nonprofit Partnership provides training, collaboration opportunities, enhanced resource development and capacity-building assistance for nonprofit organizations.

Work Evolution Laboratories (WE Labs) is Downtown Long Beach’s first coworking community: an inspiring environment designed for innovators and influencers. WE are homebase for a variety of start-ups, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.

LA Culture Net listserv circulates grant, employment and workshop opportunities in the arts.

California Arts Council provides grants, a job board, artist calls and internship information, as well as extensive information on the arts in communities throughout California.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC), hosted by Long Beach City College, provides individualized consulting, free counseling, workshops, trainings and tips to new and growing businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Studio is located on the lower level of the Main Library, and it serves as a community workspace where people can meet, socialize, innovate and collaborate using technology and resources.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission (LACAC) offers Arts Tune Ups. Tune-Ups are an informal round-robin process in which participants visit five expert discussions and topic presentations. The LACAC partners with a local municipality or institution to present the Tune-Up in a municipal or institutional venue.

California Lawyers for the Arts empowers the creative community by providing education, representation, dispute resolution, publications and a resource library to artists of all disciplines as well as arts organizations.

 

Cultural Alliance of Long Beach provides workshop training to support working artists in all artistic disciplines.

Emerging Arts Leaders/LA is a network of arts advocates formed to support and cultivate the next generation of creative leaders in Los Angeles County by providing them with opportunities to expand their peer network, share resources, and improve their job-related skills through professional development.

Center For Cultural Innovation (CCI) provides entrepreneurial training for individual artists working in all disciplines, in order to enhance their business knowledge and career prospects as working artists. CCI’s signature training program, the Business of Art, has been presented to artists in Los Angeles and throughout California since 2002.

Getting Your Sh*t Together provides resources, technology and solutions created by artists for artists. Programs support arts professionals, educational institutions and arts organizations with an integrated program of software, services and information in order to keep artists working.

Advocacy Resources

Arts for LA provides resources to inform, educate and inspire communities about local legislative issues. The Arts Council for Long Beach is proud to partner with on a number of Arts Advocacy initiatives.

California Arts Advocates (CAA) provides advocacy services for California’s arts community and professional advocacy for all arts stakeholders in California.

California Alliance for Arts Education promotes, supports and advocates for visual and performing arts education for preschool through post-secondary students in California schools.

Americans for the Arts provides insight and research on arts advocacy issues affecting the nation.
