Overcoming Barriers

Alex Poli

The powerful imagery represents the hardships immigrants face when crossing over to the U.S.
Through the perspective of the immigrant the viewer travels through the story of the panoramic mural. The left side of the mural shows the crossing of the border into a promised land with fortune and new opportunities. The right side of the mural depict open hands reaching out representing unity between two countries.
