Forests

Celia Ko & Alessandra Moctezuma

Mural Mentor Project/Youth Mural; ‘Forests’ is adjacent to the ‘Oil, Life, Ecology’ mural. Complementary to its neighboring mural, artists Celia Ko and Alessandra Moctezuma illustrate a peaceful forest with a distorted fisheye perspective. At the bottom of the composition there are cactuses with roots exposed and shaped like hearts, breathing new life into the planet. The tall palm trees reach the top of the composition towards the sunlight. The painting reminds viewers that the planet’s flora and fauna is constantly evolving, living, and breathing.
