Arts Education

Arts Education in Long Beach

We believe in arts education programs that foster an understanding of how human creative expression strengthens critical thinking, civic engagement and cultural inclusion.

Our vision is for the Long Beach community to acknowledge the crucial role that arts education has in shaping, evolving, and enhancing our lives, relationships and ideas. The Arts Council’s educational programs concentrate in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. The programs act as a community resource by providing information on local arts and cultural venues, and by linking groups and individuals together to make the arts a thriving component of their community. Arts education supports artists, organizations, schools, educators and students in advancing artistic pride and creativity.
