Cam Town Art Gallery is opening with a bang! Inaugural show features

  • Annie Nak is a shy timid girl with colorful fantasy worlds she shares with us. Some are fun, some dark, some cute. But watch out! She is a secret rebel with a fang!.
  • Recent young teenage graduates of the Living Arts Collective show off their newest pieces.
  • David Van Patten is a well-known So Cal artist. His underground comic murals are brilliant, fun and playful.

In the mid 70’s, the Cambodian community suffered catastrophic losses during the Khmer Rouge genocide. Many people were killed, including artists, teachers, and doctors – anyone educated or expressing individuality. Forty years later, our Cambodian community here in LB is still recovering. Cam Town Art Gallery is a part of that recovery. It will give voice to new artists from all minority communities.
To make it easy to access, CTAG will be inside the United Cambodian Community Center. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. We are planning to have 4-7 presentations per year, with a range of solo and group shows that enrich Cambodia Town.
