Delight your ears and eyes with an extraordinary jazz quartet led by guitar player and singer Mitchell Long, and an art exhibit of Mexican artist, Maricruz Sibaja. All this under the beautiful sky of Long Beach!
Mitchell Long is an accomplished guitarist and singer, well-known for his virtuosity, his knowledge of jazz and Brazilian music, and a soft-voiced Portuguese singing that reminds us the early bossa nova male singers. For the last six years, Mitchell has been touring in Europe with the singer-songwriter and jazz diva, Melody Gardot, so it’s a real privilege to have him at Casa Arjona before he leaves for Europe!
Mitchell will be acompannied by Brazilian keyboard player, Sandro Rebel, Brazilian drummer, Lucio Vieira, and an amazing base player TBA.
On the other hand, Maricruz Sibaja is a native of Oaxaca, Mexico, with Japanese ancestry. Maricruz comes from a family of artists, and her paintings are characterized by the presence or strong female characters, and by the use of intense colors. The colors of her land!
This will be an artistic experience with colorful images and sounds, and an international and friendly audience. Your $20 donation includes chips, home-made salsas, popcorn, and non-alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring your own basket and wine at no extra cost!
Plenty of free parking on the street!
