Choral Fest Long Beach, our month-long celebration of choral music in its many incarnations, will be anchored by a performance of Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem. The piece will be performed using the “London Version,” scored by Brahms’, which features 4 hands on one piano.
Brahms German Requiem, The London Version – Brahms wrote his German Requiem in the late 1860’s after the death of his mother. In 1871, he arranged this London version for soloists, chorus, and two pianos.
