Third and fourth grade students at Birney, Mann and Roosevelt Elementary schools celebrated the completion of their Passport to the Arts program with visual art exhibits. Throughout the six-week residency, students learned about the significance of Kachina dolls in Native American culture and worked individually to create their own. Students utilized visual art techniques in order to create a Kachina doll that was fruitful with color and movement. Each student developed a sense of individuality while learning about a culture.
