Join the Downtown Long Beach Alliance and Arts Council for Long Beach for the inaugural UNFILTERED photo contest gallery opening on December 9 at 5 p.m.located at The Collaborative Gallery (421 W. Broadway). See the 25 finalist photos on display, and celebrate the five Viewfinder Award winners, who will be announced from each of the five photo categories.
Meet the photographers and enjoy an evening with wine and light appetizers as you experience Downtown Long Beach from the beautiful lens of the community.
For the month of October, digital photo submissions were received for five photo categories. Close to 300 submissions were vetted and voted upon by a panel of five judges who selected 25 finalists and of those 25, five were selected as the final Viewfinder Award recipients.
The opening reception is 5–7 p.m. The gallery will be open to the public Monday–Friday, December 11–22 from 1–5 p.m. The exhibition moves to MADE by Millworks on January 8, with a Fan Favorite Reception on January 13, 7–9 p.m. and closes to the public on January 28.
