Stories of Boundaries, a culminating exhibition for Arts Council for Long Beach’s 2017–2018 Professional Artist Fellows, opens Saturday, August 18, from 6–9 p.m. The exhibition features four Long Beach artists whose work exemplify artistic merit and professional achievement. The fellows are Kristin Beeler, Jose Loza, Brittany Mojo, and Gerardo Monterrubio.
The Southern California Soundscape Ensemble (SCSE) will be sharing sound work and field recordings of the Los Angeles River in Long Beach on Saturday, July 21 at 5 p.m. at The Collaborative in response to the themes of Flow | Obstruction.
The Arts Council for Long Beach launches the Drake Chavez Mural Project, an initiative that will install two public art murals along the western walls of the park. This project is in partnership with Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine and the office of Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez (1st District).

Councilmember Pearce’s Office is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the newly revisioned East Village Arts Park in Downtown Long Beach. The kickoff event will be an Open Conversations event focused on what residents would like to see in the Arts Park, and what process they would like to see in programming. The event will be topped off with live music.

Dew Tour is an innovative contest series and content platform that brings together the world’s best skateboarders, snowboarders, skiers, artists, brands, and fans to celebrate competition, culture, and creators.
