The Arts Council for Long Beach is pleased to request nominations for our 2015 Arts Awards. These non-monetary awards are bestowed in recognition of excellence and community contribution. Long Beach community members are invited to submit nominations by completing a nomination form. Submissions are reviewed by a diverse panel that chooses the recipients, who will be honored at the annual State of the Arts celebration this October.

Nominations are due by Monday, September 14, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. and can be found here.

AWARD CATEGORIES

James H. Ackerman Arts Philanthropist
The James H. Ackerman Arts Philanthropist award honors a person (for example, a donor or advocate) who exemplifies the spirit of giving through their extraordinary support of the arts in Long Beach.

Arts Volunteer
The Arts Volunteer award honors a person who exemplifies generosity through volunteerism in the creative sector.

Arts Educator
The Arts Educator award honors a person who has made a meaningful impact on the arts education of students, young adults or others in the city.

Arts Innovator
The Arts Innovator award honors a person, organization or group that brings innovative change to Long Beach through the creative sector.

Economic Development Arts Trailblazer
The Economic Development Arts Trailblazer award honors a person, organization or group that contributes to the economic development of Long Beach through the creative sector.
