Artist Michael Strauss

Michael Strauss, was born and raised in Southern California. He has always loved art and creating things of beauty in a variety of different mediums. While maturing as an artist and craftsman, he attended several creative schools and workshops, including Pasadena Art Center College Of Design, Ventura College, Los Angeles Mission College, Los Angeles Pierce College and The University of Alaska. Michael continues to study a wide range of artistic disciplines including: oil painting, pen and ink drawing, charcoal and pastel drawing, sculpture and photography. Michael has worked in the toy industry for over 33 years as a Master Model Maker and Designer, creating mechanical working prototypes and bringing his designs to life as he created awesome toys for children. Michael’s artworks has been featured in several art shows and exhibits in the Los Angeles and Ventura areas. His artworks have placed and won numerous award competitions and Galleries in the past. Michael has recently spent most of the last 7 months illustrating his own children’s book, soon to be published. He normally creates in phases and then moves on to the next challenge that excites his creative drive. This explains the vast style and medium differences you see in his work.
